Southern Boone lands among top 10 schools in Missouri in annual performance report
The Southern Boone School District achieved a score of 95.9% on the Annual Performance Report conducted by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. The district was 10th in the state for the highest total percentage of possible points earned during the review.
The department uses the Annual Performance Report to measure progress for students, schools and agencies against state benchmarks set by the state Board of Education.
Southern Boone’s score is a 17-point increase from the previous school year, district public relations director Matt Sharp said. He said key highlights for the district include a perfect score in continuous improvement and full points awarded for the district’s high graduation rate.
“While celebrating the success, the district remains focused on continued growth,” Sharp said. “Administrators, school leaders and teachers are reviewing performance data to inform plans for curricular and instructional improvements — an integral part of ongoing professional collaboration throughout the school year.”
Superintendent Tim Roth said a score of 95.9% is “outstanding” and commended the work of students, teachers, staff and administrators and their “commitment to continuous improvement.”
“We deeply appreciate the ongoing support of our parents, families and community members,” Roth said.
“Their involvement — whether through volunteering, attending events, or supporting student learning at home — plays a vital role in our success,” he said. “This partnership is what makes Southern Boone a truly special place to learn and grow.”
